A plain guide to peptide care

Getting started · An explainer

What do you want help with?

You do not have to choose a medicine before asking for help. Put the problem into your own words, along with the change you would like to see.

Prepare the visit in your own words.

Try a sentence you could say aloud: what is difficult, when you notice it, and what you would like help with. Everyday words are enough.

Write down any medicine name you have seen in an offer. Keep the offer's wording separate from your own goal. That leaves room to ask whether they belong together.

You can also say that you are curious and have not made up your mind. A question does not need to become a decision on the spot.

Make room for your health history.

Make a list before the visit of every medicine and supplement you currently take. Note allergies and any health issues you want to discuss. Bring questions about pregnancy or breastfeeding if they matter to you.

Ask which records the clinician wants to see. You do not need to guess which tests to order.

Boards responsible for doctors' licences come together within the Federation of State Medical Boards, their shared organisation. It recommends that a doctor arrange any tests needed to assess you, or send you to someone who can.

These recommendations are for state boards to consider. They do not carry the force of law across all states.

Bring the question you are afraid to ask.

What is known about this medicine? What is still uncertain? Is there another way to address my problem? What would make treatment a poor fit?

Keep a question about the full cost as well. Ask for time to read the answer and the written terms. It is fine to come away with more to think about.

Use the question pad below for a short reminder. Leave out private health records; share those directly with the health professional treating you.
